Game Development Course
Article 1: Definitions
Provider: 8Bit Paladin
Participant: The child participating in the free course, represented by a parent or guardian.
Course: The specific, free game development course as described on the website or in the course brochure.
Agreement: These terms and conditions constitute the agreement between the Provider and the Participant for participation in the Course.
Article 2: Purpose of the Course
This Course is offered free of charge to introduce children to game development. It does not guarantee the successful development of video games and serves as an introduction and source of inspiration.
Article 3: Participation
Participation is free and based on availability and the Provider's discretion. The Provider reserves the right to select or exclude participants without providing a reason.
Participants are expected to follow the Provider's instructions, treat each other and the materials with respect, and adhere to the general code of conduct as established by the Provider.
In case of misconduct or failure to comply with the rules, the Provider may issue a warning to the participant. After three warnings, the participant may be excluded from further participation without the right to a refund (if applicable).
Article 4: Course Implementation
The Provider will conduct the Course to the best of their ability but cannot guarantee specific learning outcomes.
The Provider reserves the right to change the content or schedule of the Course.
If there are insufficient participants, the Provider may cancel the Course.
Article 5: Liability
The Provider is not liable for any damage or injury incurred by the Participant during the Course, unless caused by the Provider's intent or gross negligence. Parents/guardians are responsible for the well-being and safety of their child at all times.
The Provider is not liable for damage to the Participant's property.
Article 6: Intellectual Property
All teaching materials and software used during the Course are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced or distributed without the Provider's permission.
Article 7: Equipment Responsibility
Participants are responsible for the reasonable care of any equipment provided by the Provider for use during the Course. While normal wear and tear is expected, participants will be held liable for damage caused by intentional misuse or negligence. In the event of such damage, the participant (or their parent/guardian) will be responsible for the repair or replacement costs.
Article 8: Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of The Netherlands
